Seems to be the engine management system telling you there is a fault this probably needs to be diagnosed on a dedicated Fiat analyser. But first try the fuel filter and see is it gummed up it might just be sometimes the fuel flow is interrupted,secondly it may be the fuel pump.I would try the cheapest checks first ie-the fuel floe problems -Q are you in the habit of letting the fuel tank level go very low before refilling??.
