301 to a 350 ??

I have a 1980 TA with a 301. i want to change it to a 350. will the motor mounts for the 301 work with a 350?If not can i use different mounts to install the 350? thanks for any help. Joe

A Pontiac 350, likely yes. A Chevy 350, no, need different mounts. Once you have those, it should be a bolt in. A pontiac 350 will interchange. If you are looking for performance I would go with a 400 or 455.

Both fit into the same car. The difference can be the motor mounts, trans mounts and pedals(?). Also he shaker hoot scoop maybe different. The last two issues of High Performance Pontic rans a story detailing out all the differences from TA to GTO and Can Ams.
