1985 was the first year for the IROC to be sold. I suspect some early ones were mocked up at GM, but none sold to the public. King:

Cross-fire injection was 1982-83 on the F cars. A 5.0 vin 7 in 1982, and a 5.0 vin S in 1983.

1984 F body V8s are all carbed. FI didn't return till 1985 with the 5.0 vin F TPI engine.

As for the Corvette, the 1982 model was 5.7 cross-fire TBI, there was no 1983 model released to the public and the '84 redesigned model had the same engine as the 1982. In 1985, the Vette got the 5.7 vin 8 TPI engine. It wouldn't be till 1987 that the F cars got this engine.

The IROC name wasn't used on a Camaro until 1985. Before that they were only Z-28 models.
