Usually, if you rap on the metal part of the motor with a rubber mallet and it
"comes back to life", then you have found your problem.
Another thing is the little ground strap (one of the mounting bolts grounds
through it). Some folks forget that and it will drive them nuts. LOL.
I agree the switch may be your issue, though. Should still be available from GM
