I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with about 38,000 miles on it. I bought the truck a couple of years ago with about 16,000 miles on it. Anyway, I recently noticed that the 3rd brake light wasn't working. I checked the fuse and found out that there wasn't a fuse in the spot for the brake light. I believe it was location 27. Anyway, this also controls the auto door locks, backup lights and a couple of other things. When I installed the fuse, everything worked, but the engine began to run rough to the point where I couldn't get it started. When I removed the fuse, the engine ran fine again. Any ideas? Thanks.
