My 2002 XLT 4WD came with Bridgestone Dueler H/T P255/70/R16. They are still good after 25000 Km , but a little bit noisy. My retailer tires has just received Michelin LTX M/S P255/70/R16 . Any idea about this tire ?

A little search will turn up many threads in this NG about tires and LTX's.
Quick answer... the LTX's are quiet, smooth, and long-lasting. All you'll likely ever need unless you're in *serious* snow or off-roading. I'm on my second Explorer, and I put LTX's on both.

Mine came with the Michelins, and I love 'em. We do a lot of high-speed cross-country driving, usually with a 3500-pound trailer in tow. The Explorer has passed 65,000 miles, and the original Michelins will likely need to replaced at about 75K. With more conservative driving without the trailer, we would probably have gotten 90K.

Thanks Jack . Sounds good. Have just read many positive reviews about the LTX . Didn't think that there was such a big difference with my original Bridgestone . Will definitely go for them

65.000 miles ! amazing ! wow I've owned michelin in the past with sedan cars , and was always impressed by the quality . BTW , it's strange that my explorer ( export version ) came with P255/70/R16. I think in US , XLT 4WD comes with P235/70/R16 , doesn't it ? ThanksART
