overdrive light flashes and car won't switch into last gear happens intermittantly-seems more so when car is warm . sometimes no problem. no other problems with trans no slipping when down shifting etc.

I had this problem, blinks on occassion (never stays on constantly)....I also had some shifting problems that seemed different/strange. It eventually (within a couple of weeks) turned into a fully failed transmission, eventhough I?ve always kept up my fluid changes at the dealership and such and never abused it - although mine is a ?97 and has about 150k miles on it. But I did have that blinking OD situation that one time.
