oil leak

I just discovered I that I have a minor oil leak underneath the engine not sure yet if it's coming from the oil plug or the oil pan itself.

Does anyone have any experience in replacing the plug or the oil pan itself? How much will it cost to have the oil pan replaced? Although it's not dripping oil much but it's there for me to notice is this something I should be worried about?

Thanks

Replacing the pan is not a big deal, but find the source of the leak first.

To replace the oil pan gasket on my '97 AWD V8 it was going to cost $485 at the dealer. According to the factory repair manual you have to pull the engine. Obviously for $485 Ford figured out a slightly easier method, which is why I went to them instead of the garage that wanted to do it for $900 (again, without pulling the engine). As it turns out, it was the rear main seal, so it cost me a bunch more anyway. If it's not leaking much, I'd leave it alone. Mine had a constant drip.
