The driver's seat belt in my '94 has lately become hard to pull out and it is slow to retract back in the retractor. I suppose I should replace it but being the cheapskate I am thought I'd ask if maybe I could squirt some WD 40 in it or something to fix it. Thanks.

I can only comment that you are talking about a safety device.... If you want to be thrifty, perhaps this isn't the area to be thrifty in....
Safety.... an area little appreciated by most. "I bought a fire extinguisher.... I don't know why, I've never used it....". Me? I keep buying insurance and praying that I never have to use it.... I buy safety boots for work... hoping that I'll never need them. If I do ever need these things, having the best I can get seems wise.
