Selling for a friend. 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe 2.3 with auto tranny. Car was only used in the summer. Has never seen a winter. Car was completly redone in 1998 including new custom plum purple paint with rear spoiler, rebuilt engine and rebuilt rear end. Automatic tranny was rebuilt summer 2003. New steering rack, exhaust from converters back, u-joints, front-end alignment, 4- 225/60/16 tires, front and rear rotors and pads replaced all in summer of 2003. Also has a K-N drop in filter and front-end bra.
Car has every option offered on the Turbo Coupe in 1988 including Scarlet Red leather seats, power sunroof and power everything. The side quarter and rear windows are tinted.
Only problems are drivers window falls out of track when going down, clock doesn't work, electronic ride control is stuck in firm position, A/C needs recharging and trunk side liners missing. The car also has a small spot of rust on the passenger side quarter panel and a small dent on the driver side quarter panel. The clear coat is starting to peel on the hood.
Comes with some extra parts.
Was only driven a few days a week during the summer.
Currently has 180,000 miles but everything was gone through or replaced in 1998 and 2003.
These are excellent handling cars and surprisingly quick for the size. Would make a nice daily driver with gas prices climbing as high as they are.
Car is located about 20 miles south of Buffalo, NY.
