1994 Ford Taurus SHO Power Sterring Problem

Sep 06, 2005 2 Replies

Need help - Installed new Steering rack and pump on 1994 SHO - steering works fine at idle and when engine is cold - after running down the road a few miles the power steering stops working - let the car sit for a while then start it up and it works fine? Could this be the Variable Control unit device?

sounds like there is air in the line take your power steering cap off and let it idle for about 5 min this should get the air out

Since when is a power steering cap air tight?
