Hey people. Are they Tranny 4-speed auto (4th being "overdrive") from an 83 grandmarquis and a 91 LTD (both a 302 EFI engine although I think the 91 ltd is an ohc) the same? (or not neccisarily the same.....but could you use one from the merc easily in the ltd?

The 1990, 1991, & 1992 transmissions are interchangeable among the 5.0,58, &
4.6 engines. The 1983 transmission will interchange to 1980-1987 AOD applications.Rob
