Ford 1994 Ranger 2.3 liter

My Ford 1994 Ranger 2.3liter is leaking coolant fluid around the timing belt. I haven't opened up the timing belt cover yet, I wanted to see how big of job/problem it is. Approximately 10 seconds after I poor fluid into the radiator, the coolant leaks very strongly. There is no visible hose damage. Could you help me diagnos the problem and give me helps to fix it?

probably a water pump.does not require removal of timing belt, but best to replace it while your there.

It could be the water pump, heater hose leaking, and/or thermostat housing leaking are the simple things. Did you try to add coolant while it was hot and engine not running? If you did it could be a cracked block. Might also be a freeze plug if they have one on the front of that engine.

Ive changed my water pump its not hard. if the leak is coming out of the belt cover its problely the pump, its the only thing in there that could leak. just take the fan and belts off and then the cover. after you get the mount bolts out if its stuck just hit it with a malit and it will come off. if you havent changed the timing belt yet and are close to 60.000 do it now. yell have to pull the counter ballace off. i changed the tenchioner while it was apart also. good part is its a noninterferice moter so if the belt brakes it wont blow the head. but its best to change it all while you got it this far apart. good luck
