I wonder why noone at Ford have thought of cutting a cylinder or two out of the hybrid from Escape, stick it into JDM Mazda Tribute, put the usps truck shell on top and sell to the USPS by a boatload? The NYC taxi project did not pan out or they can't compete with the pricing for the trucks that usps gets now?
Disclaimer: I don't own a ford in general and Escape in particular and have no interest in buying a hybrid myself within foreseable future, but am a curious beast.
