Replace Puddle Light - 2002 Ford Explorer EB 4x4

Mar 16, 2007 1 Replies

Hello,

I'm having a problem, a little while ago, I was at McDonalds and was driving up and my mirror clipped one of their extended garbage cans (the ones by the drive-through so you can throw stuff out easily). Well, the mirror folded in a little bit, and the mirror still moves fine, but now the puddle lamp (drivers side) will not light up. I would really like to fix this but I cannot find any information on how to access the bulb. I would love to be able to fix this without replacing the entire fixture. If anyone knows how I can do this in- place that would be great. I do not have a lot of experience fixing vehicles, so forgive my limited knowledge and vocabulary.

Thanks,

Braden

I haven't had to dig into mine but from what I understand; using a thin blade knife you can remove the plastic lens covering the bulb and replace it.
