Warranty re:Brakes and brakepads on Ford Focus

Does anyone know if this is covered in the bumper to bumper warranty. A friend of mine who usually gets his ass ripped off at the car mechanic told me that he called Ford and they said it wasn't covered. That's hard to believe. His car is only one year old.

The dealer does not decide what is covered, the warranty language sets the standards. Read the warranty booklet that came with the vehicle, WBMA Generally wear item like wipers, brake pads and clutch linings are only covered for the first 12/12, unless there is another causal part that resulted in a friction surface failure. I.E. a stuck caliper.
