I have just hired whilst on holiday a new Focus with the 1.6 option.
I found it quite nippy and quiet as compared to my own 1.8 TDi, but seemed somewhat tinny soundwise.
What to people think about going for the 2.0 litre version.The ecomomy figures look very good.
