Hello Everyone,

Like I stated in earlier posts, the post was to show off my Ford Truck with parts that orginally did not come with. The site also allows me to mods done to the truck. That is also can be used as a tool of information. Simpliy writing it's a V6. Big Deal and writing how many posts I've made will not GET YOU ANYWHERE! Compredda!

Ok, look. Lets be realistic for a minute. I think just about any guy who frequents this newsgroup who has a similar vehicle that is their pride and joy, is more than welcome to show it off here. Just not through 4 different posts on the same newsgroup. Let it be a lesson to others in the future, one post is more than sufficient, unless you are replying to comments from others.

I'll be completely honest with you bud, I like the exterior of the truck (expecially that color blue, looks good with the chrome), but the interior. I mean, come on. You GLUED Hot Wheels monster trucks to your dash? And what's with the hack job of just screwing the CB radio right into the bottom of the dash, why couldn't you mount a bracket somewhere? Same with the parcel holders you've screwed into the door panels, the least you could have done is spray painted them to match the door panels before you mounted them. Plus you have to think that if you ever want to remove these items, you don't want god-ugly holes everywhere from where they used to be mounted.

Also, I would very quickly take your intake tube apart and get that Tornado-thingy the hell outta there before it gets sucked down into your intake manifold when the cheap $0.02 parts its held together with let go, and it inevitably goes where the airflow takes it. God knows how much damage that thing could do to your engine. I think most people will agree with me that you will not notice any difference without it. These types of items are things you really have to reasearch before you plunk down your hard earned cash. Most people on this newsgroups and other sources will tell you the Tornado is a waste of money.

BTW, not quite sure what look you're after, but from the front angle view, the off-road lights, headlight covers and hood scoop really don't turn my crank, if you know what I mean. They just don't quite go together. Now, if the truck had a ground effects kit that you had a set of driving lights installed into, that would look really nice.

Don't get me wrong, I still think it is a decent looking truck, there are just a few things you've done that I don't think I would have.

At least it doesn't have rubber testicles. I can't say if it has underbody lighting or not, none of the pics were of night.

I figure if they are hanging on the rear bumper, it means the driver doesn't have any. They looked stupid as hell when Bull haulers started putting them on their livestock trailers(that's where they originated), They look down right asinine on anything else.

OK, this plastic stick-on sidepipes kinda guy has been flamed enough. Hell, he is well done. Let him get back to tending his shag carpet and Velvet Elvis painting.

It's clean. Other than that, what's so special about it? Some wheels, a tool box and some lights?

Hello Sharky,

I want to thank you for writing about my truck. You did a wonderful job and gave good detail. This is the kind of information I can use. Well my first priority was to rethink the use of that Tornado. I removed it for my air intake tube. In the meantime I performed a little maintenance. Check the construction of the Tornado and seemed to be built pretty well but I can see your point. There are too many points of attachment that could weaken up and cause a lot of damage. Also I performed an air flow test. Mounted the Tornado in a can. Both ends open. Took my wet/dry Vac with a 2 1/2 diameter hose. Clamped everything down. Had air from the vacuum blow into the Tornado. Kind of simulate the air from driving down the road. The air became disturbed. The flow was choppy. The swirl, tornado affect was poor. The air pressure was lowered. Without the Tornado in line the air was strong, steady, straight flowing. This is idea for horsepower. I am convinced that actually the Tornado can be a risk and lower performance in some cases.

The Hot Wheel Monster Trucks was sort of a test. The glue I used was temporary and easy to remove. The trucks are gone off of the dash. My son,

11 thought is was pretty cool. Don't mind experimenting. I keep an open mind.

My Cobra 148 GTL CB Radio is actually mounted on top of the dash. This is one of my hobbies and have them for over 20 years. Trucks and CB Radios have a history. The radio is within reach for good communications and can keep my on the road. I commute 70 miles a day.

The door parcel holders are black and match the interior door handles. Just for the heck of it I could order the gray ones through JC Whitney. I wonder if their gray would match. Well it seem to be the right choice at the time.

I live in a small town in central Maine called Skowhegan. Population of about 8,500 people. It is hard to customize here. I have budget and the cost of living is high. So I try to balance out things the best I can. Thanks for your comments!
