A trouble code has been set by the RABS controller. To get it, you'll have to find the controller (perhaps under right kick panel, I can't remember exactly where) and the procedure is to ground a certain wire and the light will flash out the code. Sorry I could not remember it exactly... I used to have a service manual for my old 1989 but I got rid of it when I sold it. You can probably find the exact procedure using Google.

Step 1 - Check the brake fluid level. A low brake fluid level will turn on the light.

Hello:) I searched for the procedure with no luck...any ideas?? Thanks:)Nel

Jeezuz do I have to do ALL the work for you?

Google Ford RABS troubleshooting

Or look on Autozone's web site, they have all kinds of information.

Thanks! Curious..why check brakelights?? Will a bad brake light trip the abs?? I will give this a shot on Monday and let everyone know how I do. Thanks everyone for the help:)!!
