anyone have a 2004 Explorer?

I've had 2 explorers, a '92 and a 95. Both with the standard V6 engine. I put 110k miles on the '92, and 156k miles on the '95, both without significant repairs. I used Mobil1 in both (I wonder if I'll spark a few comments on the validity of synthetic motor oil by mentioning that). I used both explorers for everyday Midwest driving (garaged at night), and several trips to the Colorado Rockies, including some fairly questionable trail/off-road adventures. Both performed admirably. Parts are readily available because these vehicles are so popular. I wanted more room/more power, so I stepped up to a F150.

Thanks Scott for the reply. To be honest, I have been nervous about the thought of buying an American vehicle. I'll have to talk it over with my better half.

America had some "dark days" in the '80's, and a few in the "90's with automobiles, but their quality has improved drastically. I don't believe you would be dissatisfied with the Explorer, they are very popular nowadays, and you don't get that popular by selling junk. Just my .02.
