I'm willing to wager that the owner likes that soft launch. (turbo lag) Having gone the turbo route in the past, ('76 Monza & '80 Corolla) it was a real hoot letting your opponent "get out" in front for a few seconds then literally sucking their headlight out when all the boost came in. The hard part was keeping your eyes on the road instead of the rear view mirror, looking at the other guy's jaw drop. :-)
