The STABILUS brand gas-springs that hold up the rear window or hatch on my



2001 Ford Excursion have given out. They no longer hold the hatch up. Can anyone provide a source (other than the dealer) for replacements? thanx

Have you checked with any other parts stores? Advance Auto ... AutoZone ... Napa ... etc.

I replaced one of those struts on my BroncoII with a replacement from Advance Auto.

Yes, thanks, I checked with NAPA and they ordered two for me. Interesting enough, they had only three available. One in Seattle and two in Portland. I guess I was the last lucky one.
