Hello,
Looking for some input about the startup of the car. Put the key in and turn and its got a sloppy or slow starting sound. I have heard that 01 and 02 seem to have a problem. Any one shed light on this ? Assuming the battery and starter are o.k.
Also wonder how i could look up possible recalls on the vehicle.

Is it the original battery? If so, why assume a 6 year old battery is okay?
Have the battery checked.

As far as recalls are concerned, contact a gm dealer of any make, give them your vin # and request what's called a vis. They should be willing to provide that to you at no charge, this will have any open recall info on your vehicle.
