Seems all reviews so far are reporting the new camaro V-6 is best in class from all competition. So far no reviews on the V-8.

The Camaro looks awesome, and get's awesome MPG too. It's base 3.6L engine get's 29MPG on the highway, and also has 304 horsepower. That's even better then some 4-door family sedan's, such as, Toyota's Camry, with it's 3.5L 268 horsepower engine, getting 28MPG, or Nissan's Altima, with its 3.5L 270 horsepower engine, getting 26. And, if you want even more power, the Camaro SS has a 426 horsepower V8, that can still get 24MPG. A lot of people wanted a sports car, with tons of power, and awesome highway MPG, and the Camaro delivers. GM is improving, and they are doing it big time. The Camaro is only one example.

It is an attractive car, at least the model I saw at the car show. I dont know how many people will want the high HP version, but the MPG looks great.

If it has the price, performance, and ride that will yield mass appeal, maybe this will help GM out of the dumper.

I think it will definitely help. As for price, the base LS model starts at $22,995, with the highest 2SS model starting at $34,180, so IMHO, GM is also giving this vehicle a nice price advantage. I mean for $23,000, you get the

304 horsepower engine, 18" wheels, AM/FM/CD with MP3 and XM, Onstar, and tons of other gadgets. I'd want to test drive one obviously, before giving it my full 2 thumbs up, but every review I have read has been very positive.

I have 150k miles on my Pontiac, I figure by this time next year I will have close to 170k and will probably get me a Camaro. If the pontiac is still running as good as it is today I will feel guilty departing with it. So far its the best car I have owned so I may just keep it too.

Which model Pontiac do you have? I have a '97 Bonneville (around 290,000 KMs), and an '82 Trans Am (around 92,500 KMS), both are exceptional cars.
