92 BUICK 350 WILL NOT RUN

1992 BUICK Roadmaster Limited Sedan 350 TBI

After disconnecting and reconnecting battery the car runs

for 45 seconds then quits, sometimes runs for 3 minutes

then quits.

Replaced fuel filter, getting fuel pressure.

The only diagnostic code is 12.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Will it restart after it dies? If not, are you still getting fuel from the injectors?

Ignition module under the distributer cap. Cheap and easy to replace. Make sure you put the thermo grease on the new one.

Thanks, Sean. Sure enough, it was the module. With a new module ($35) it runs better than ever.

It was easy getting to the module inside the distributor cap, but it was hard getting to the cap, which is jammed back against the firewall. I had to climb on top of the engine and remove other hardware just to get to it.

It was worth the trouble. Runs sweet now.

Good luck to DIYers. Thanks again for the help.
