They certainly bring in more profit per sale. Also, the Silverado was the 2nd most popular model sold in the States last year, behind the Ford F-Series.
The new trucks are nice, but they are not enough to save GM. GM's sales continue to fall, including for the truck/SUV lineup.
It seems that the only thing really at risk is the Dodge truck lineup as GM, Ford and Toyota fight it out.
