Yesterday, some conservative radio guru was calling the climate bill "watermelon" legislation.

I thought at first it was a racial remark, until he qualified it as being green on the outside, red on the inside.

I feel that some legislation is needed, but this may open doors we never wanted open to a politbureau type of central government.

I think the annology was a good one. Green is about moving green from your pocket towards statism, talking the wealth blood from people. Obama has nothing to do with what is right.

Take this point. A competative marketplace drives out waste. As if you don't participate in making things faster, better, cheaper with less materials your competition will eat you alive. While many consumers are air heads, most are not, they go for the TCO of owership and value to them. They do not need government interfereance to choose what is right for them.

Take GM, wasteful and quality slid. Then they tanked due to internal waste financed with criminal levels of excessive debt. But instead of letting Darwin principles rule, we keep the wasteful hog alive. This even hurts efficient companies as now the market has a government/statism induced imbalance where it now pays to be wasteful.

If any auto company could make a 200 mpg vehicle for $10,000, does Obama arrogance think that it will not already be done? What Obama sells if fast talking BS for an alternative purpose. That purpose being the errosion of financial liberties of Americans by increasing taxation for ever growing statism and corruption.

Hopefully the American people wake up before Obama does too much damage.

These fools voted with their hormones, being stirred by Obama's ability with words. They didnt really see the socialist, perhaps even communist, principles that this man embraced.

Unfortunately, the damned Republicans had no strong candidate, no platform except same old policies, and no clue that not everyone was happy and affluent.

We need a new constitutional convention.

Or American Revolution 2.0

Good luck in getting it. Liberty is easily lost but takes revolutions to get it back. Safe to say this generation is screwed.

In time, no doubt. But that could take decades to fruition. I figure it will be proceeded by government bankruptcy and repressive taxation, similar to Iceland, Agentina and a host of other countries where the misconseption of the time was that big government could spend it's way out of debt.

I hear real unemployment and job quality numbers are not looking too good. Better button down the hatches, round two is up on deck for this depression. And it has a bad mix of currency devaluation and inflation with higher interest rates. Going to be nasty as banks are clamping down on credit lines as fast as they can in preperation. In fact, you can already see this happening in corporate bond markets and many commodities.

But Obama will be there with more trillions of taxpayers cash for GM and other corrupt businesses with pull. Obama will be sure to smooth it over with excuses to the masses of stupid.
