INPORTANT QUESTION ! It's 2:50 P.M.

Hi,

I have a 1995 Buick Century, runs good.. (pretty good earlier today "with" a Z28 Camaro..:-) ) probably won't do THAT again.......

Anyway, I bought a can of the "134" coolant?,

and about to empty into LOWER fitting.......

...and, THE LINE that the fitting is on...IS HOT!

Is this supposed to be?...the a/c is running ok right now,

I wanted to boost it some, seems like it could.

iS IT SUPPOSED TO BE HOT?

Thank you geniuses of geniuses...

You could also overcharge the system and blow it. Learn what you are doing before screwing it up. If it isn't cooling as much as it should it could be overcharged as when it gets low it gets colder and usually ices the evaporator..

An air conditioning system works by compressing a coolant, which heats it up. Then allowing it to expand into a larger chamber, which cools it down, alot. The cool portion has a fan blowing over it which cools the air and blows into the car. Exactly the same way a refrigerator works. If you have an older cheap refrigerator you might be able to see the tubes in the freezer where the coldest air is, and the tubes behind the fridge where the heat is. Freezer tubes are pretty big, something like a half inch in diameter or so, and the tubes in the rear are very tiny, less than a quarter inch.

It is extremely important to have exactly the right amount of refrigerant in an R134a system. They shouldn't sell those cans at all.

And WHATEVER you do, don't put that sealer crap in it.....please. Take it in and have it properly serviced GW
