i recently purchased a 2001 sonoma and after driving a while i started getting clinking noise from front of car i found that the outside pad had become loose do to the dog ears holding them in place bending i replaced them and it repeated and now they are squealing to i even tried bending the tabs back and it just repeated pad wear is fine and iv been told it has whats called floating brakes wht never heard of it maybe someone else has ran into this problem and can help cant afford a mechanic i know the truck had been wrecked guy said his wife ran into deer and had it restored back something bent bad calipers dont know?????
