You've got 2 options.
1) Trace & Report each & every spam message to the originating ISP.
Somewhat successful though very very time consuming.
2) Never post any working email address to any internet forum or NG.
At this point you're email address is being sold 100x over to the
worlds spammers. Sorry to be the one to tell you, get ready for the
onslaught of breast pills, penis pills, mortgage offers, etc, etc etc.
Hi Full_Name, I already have my inbox somewhat spam-proofed, you know
the free mail box with MSN Hotmail has settings and I have them set to
near perfect, this reply to the red light camera I made recently gave
this F*&%ker the idea that I wanted a Radar Detector, mrgadget.com and
completely written in French, the only English in it is the name mrga...
What a moron these people subscribed to a firm who tracks email accounts
displayed in NG replies and posts. The firm identified itself as
email@example.com - which may or may not be a legitimate email address
The name seems English, yet the firm who they must have sold my address
to is probably based in a country who's main language is French, like
France I suppose. This is what makes me think it's not simply spam it's
also a rip-off scam. Hell maybe it's those Frenchies up here in Canada
from La Province de Quebec? Give your credit information and then fight
later to have it returned when you realize the company isn't going to
send the F^#@king Radar Detector. It's so obvious.
Also, I recently received in another account of mine mail supposedly
from Citibank and an urgent request to send them my banking card number
and PIN password because there has been a breach in security and they
need to verify that mine is safe (what of heap of fraudulent bullshit) I
mean people must be getting trapped in this stuff or these can artists
wouldn't bother doing this stuff.
I decided today to make my posts show a non working email account, and
organization is: "I report all suspected scams to FBI & RCMP"
under send replies to: "I report all spamming to local authorities"
BTW you won't see the aboves changes as I set this all up after
composing this reply to you, let's see what happens from now on.
