Spam is getting worse.

Everytime you see spam in this NG you need to report it to the ISP and posting host responsible, as well as however hosts the sales website. This is a good NG and I would hate to see it fall into nothing but a spam list due to nobody actively dealing with it. If it's crossposted, it's spam. If it's an Ebay auction, it's spam. If it's some asshat selling penis pills, lottery winners, or a nice new pyramid scheme, IT'S SPAM. If it's some asshat sending a .scr file, or a link to an scr or exe, it's a virus. Please take 2 minutes, read and paste the headers into a message to be forwarded to all of the appropriate abuse departments.

I elect you for the position, anyone second that?

I appreciate that but EVERYONE needs to get off thier ass and do it. 1 complaint will fall on deaf ears. 20-50+ will cause the spammer to have to seek an new ISP.

It's easier to just ignore it, and not get all worked up about it. And use your newsreader's filter to ignore the 'penis' posts when they get too bad.

Spam's gonna happen.

It is indeed easy to ignore it. Until you have to wade through a spam to post you want to read ratio that looks like the diff gears from an eighth miler. If spammers find that hitting a particular NG brings them nothing but hassles they will quit. The only reason I brought it up is that the signal to noise ratio in here is getting worse.

Here and the rest of the world. It's the new beast.
