That is STILL OLD news, no matter how many times you choose to post that story in a NG and you know it!. As to who killed the electric car, the US government killed the GM experimental electrical car known as the EV1. NOT one single EV1 was sold to Consumers! The EV1 was made under exception to the EPA and NHTSA regulations and could NOT be sold to the public. The EV1 could only owned by GM and everyone on the road was LEASED. GM WAS REQUIRED to destroy EVERY EV1 at the end of the test period, but then again you know that as well.
