Considering 02-03 Terracan or SantaFe (most likely diesel) with automatic gearbox. Can anybody comment on their reliability and handling? The car would probably have around 100kkm on the clock

those are two different types . The Terracan is a real offroader with ladder chassis and will not be as comfy as the SantaFe. If you want keeping it for long go Terracan.
