lazy starter

i came to my 4.0 xj40 '90 yesterday morning and it turned over alot slower than it normally does. like when ur battery is going flat. when i stopped after about 20 mile and started again it turn over faster but still not as normal. it is still continuing to turn over slow. i have a maintenace free battery and the indicator says is green. on a volt meter i get 11.5v do u think the starter is on the way out?, its done 150,000miles or could it be anything else?

What voltage do you have while trying to start....11.5 is low. What voltage do you get while car is running?

Make certain your battery connections are clean at both ends of the cables.
