I have an odd paint code question that I have been unable to get answered, and am hoping that someone on the newsgroup may have some ideas.
I have a 1991 Jaguar Vanden Plas with a build date of 3/91. The paint code on the door is HFH. This is the paint code for Mineral Green Metallic. The problem is, no where is this color listed for this year, and it's not noted as used by Jaguar until 1994. I've checked the paint manufacturers books, and all my Jaguar books as well.
Is there some chance that Jaguar was testing the paint this year, and this happened to be one of the cars that was painted this color and the color wasn't documented anywhere because it was just a test? Does anyone with a history with Jaguar have any ideas?
