Peugeot paint code

Sep 23, 2003 4 Replies

I'm trying to find the paint code for my Pug 405 Sti, which is a metallic purpley/maroon colour. I can't find anything on any of the plates that might be a paint code, but stamped on the n/s strut turret is M4JF.

I've been to a motor factors and to Halfrauds with this code but no luck.

Have I got the wrong numbers, or a rare colour, any ideas???

Thats it, i dont have acces to any book any more but you need to drop the first letter or last letter. phone brown brothers or a decint motor factors they will help. I used pop my head round back of the parts department or just walk into the garage of my local dealer and collard one of the lads who are normally happy to help. Try not to go through the front door other wise you a greated with the . If we cannot make a bill for it then we dont deal with it!!!! attitude you get from the front desk of a main deal.

Don't bother with Halford's, Go to a proper paint mixing outlet.

The colour code is correct, Although M4JF is a *Mica* 2ct colour not an ordinary standard metallic as we know it.

M4JF is: Rouge Alhambra, colour code PEU.EJF (Standard Shade) 90-94 Rouge Alhambra, colour code PEU.EJF(DV) (Dirty Violet shade) 90-94

You should use the PEU EJF code for colour identification at your paint mixing factor and as you can see there are two colour varients to choose from.

Thanks a million, you are absolutely correct. I had the paint mixed and it matches a treat. It was only for a door handle and a door mirror shell, so I didn't need a

100% match, but it's very good, so I may now repair the crack in the front bumper without fear of having to spray half the car. Thanks again. Apparently, the M is the place of manufacture, and he 4 is for 94, the year of build.

No problem, Glad you got it sorted :)
