Ride-levelling suspension - 1990 Sovereign

Hi

Is there anywhere on the internet where I can see components used in the above system. I inherited this vehicle when my brother bought a new mercedes, and at some point in the past a mechanic has disconnected some of the tubing from a device in the engine compartment that is part of this system, but I can find nothing about it from th eusual sources.

Thanks, Tom

Oh - wait a bit - there's a small section on replacement in jag-lovers about this.

Anybody know of a system diagram somewhere, or a more complete description of the system?

First off the leveling shocks might have already been replaced with a standard set of dampeners.

Second, if you are going to be a purist and want the car in original condition then yes lets get it back in shape. But, if you are not willing to deal with the punishment this system will deal out, then just forget about it.

In most metropolitan libraries you can access shop grade "MOTOR" manuals. Locate the chassis and suspension book and you will find the diagram you seek. The best way to go is to visit a Jaguar parts counter; if you ask nicely they will print it out for you.

Must be.

You mean on the road or in the shop, hahaha?

Good idea - I'll give it 'em a try.
