Can anybody help with info on the electric windows on a 1998 XK8 The problem is when you open the door the window should drop a fraction and close when the door is shut, but instead the window drops a little every time you pull the door handle but will not go up unless you use the window switch

Your window 'memory' may need to be reset. Check the handbook for instructions.
If it happens again (as it did to me) then you may need to replace the battery.
