While investigating the horrible graunching sound as the driver's door window lifts - and finding that the fixing for the bottom of the leading edge window frame is a pile of rust in the bottom of the door - I can see no sensor or switch to stop the window burrowing through the bottom of the door when the 'one touch open' thingy is working.
Is it really just some sort of load sensor? I found that I can stop the window in auto mode just by putting my hand under it as it descends.
The graunching is caused by the rear edge of the window glass catching on the bolt that fixes the trailing edge door frame to the bottom of the door.
If I'm right about the stop sensing I'll drop a suitably sized block of wood in the bottom of the door and forget about it until I fix the frame fixing.
TIA
Richard
