Hey Nate, I bought one in like new condition last fall to fit my soon-to-be-ex-wife's TJ, and I paid $900 for it. It wasn't the Jeep factory one, it was the Bestop Hardtop with removable targa, it hadn't even been installed yet.

P.S. When the divorce is finally over, I'll miss that Jeep.

The hardtop comes in awfully handy in the cold weather Nathan... You may want to reconsider.

I put mine on in November and take it off in late February.

Much quicker when trying to load stuff into the back and keeps you quite a bit warmer too.

My hardtop has been hanging from the ceiling in my garage for a few years now, all lonely. I have been considering selling mine too. Montana is a lot colder than NJ, but I never feel cold in my Jeep once it warms up in a mile or so. Tomes in NJ

one thing about the TJ is the _awesome_ heater. even with just the soft top and soft doors (as bad as they leak) i had _no_ trouble in february which is downright frigid at times. as much as i enjoy my jeep i cant make money out of it (need a truck for that) so my jeep really is nothing more than an expensive toy to play with and will rarely be driven anyway. for now the new condition hardtop is nothing more than a shady spot for the dogs to lay under. id much rather see it put to use by somebody. :-)

It's okay this time. Third time around, no kids with this marriage, just married for all the wrong reasons. Didn't work out, decided to move to the beach, and start over fresh.

Thanks for askin' though.

I know it man, I'm a real veteran of ugly divorce. I think maybe this time, I'll just settle down, maybe date a stripper or two........

......or maybe I'll just go fishin'.

Well, how about stopping those @#$% snow dances, then! It is Spring, you know. I have to drive from Colorado Springs to Billings tomorrow and they are calling for up to 9 inches between Sheridan and Billings tonight and tomorrow morning.

I gave $650 for mine on ebay a couple of years ago and think I got a good deal. Had to drive a couple of hours to pick it up but didn't mind. I have seen them locally in the paper anywhere from $900 - $1200. It doesn't get horribly cold in North Alabama, but I like to have it for the winter season. I keep it in my storage locker during the summer.

Hi Nathan I drove a 88YJ Soft top with half doors for 12 years here in Ottawa Canada. (By the way this spring is the 20th year for me driving a Jeep) In the winter it really wasn't too bad. Only on the cold days -20C /-4F, it was it kinda cool inside. I remember it snowing inside the Jeep a few times. I vowed then, that the next Jeep would have the hard top for the winters. One real advantage of the hard top is during hunting season I could lock the guns in the jeep, feeling a little safer when at the beer store :-) Other than that the soft top is quite adequate in the winter. But then you heard all this before with your previous jeep eh. Cheers Frank

Heh, I've been there, done that. Sucks doesn't it... kinda. That's the trouble with falling in lust, eventually the new wears off.

On an UP note, you're on the beach? Whooo hooo! Which beach?

Myrtle Beach Katie!

It's good to be down here, plus, I'm closer to mom and my step dad.

Scientists found a gene a few years ago that apparently makes mice monogamous or promiscuous. Don't know if humans have it or not. My wife thinks it has something to do with stubbornness and not admitting that, you know, maybe this isn't perfect but it sort of works. At least I didn't get one of those clingy ones that calls you twenty times a day and gets jealous if you happen to talk to a twenty-something with a knock out body. Some of them just don't believe that "she's just a coworker" line, or that married men are still allowed to look.

Heh. Can't complain. Third grand child on the way. Another all nighter with a screaming female, nurses running in and out. Hope there's an all night coffee bar close by, or I'll have to fill up the thermos again.

On the hard top, offer to help them install it at your place. I'm sure you have the tools. Have too, owning a Jeep.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo,

Earle
