Now that CJ is out of garage with new tranny, and it rained for the first time yesterday, I have a wiper problem, they work when they feel like it, not when I want them to. Anywhere special I should look, or just start at the switch and work my way forward?

I would start with a booster cable from the battery negative to the case of the motor or the windshield frame.
My wipers have an attitude and it is the hinges for the windshield not wanting to be a good ground anymore.

That could be it since it has a fiberglass tub on it, so will check that first, thanks Mike.

In addition to electrical problems, look for mechanical. I've had mine seize up because the motor was not positioned just right.
