That's an attitude problem and not a religious problem. People like that will exhibit that trait whether the subject be religion, or the "Real" jeep they drive vs. whatever kind of jeep YOU drive.

Everyone can rally behind it so to speak, it's just some can't see past their own personal conviction that everyone should believe as they do. If you don't wish to recite the phrase "under god" then by all means insert your favorite. No one is listening that close. If you don't wish your kid(s) to recite that phrase, then by all means teach them an alternate, and inform their teachers. But for the people that DO wish to recite it as is, leave them alone.

People that share your view are just as bad as religious nuts that think you simply must be converted, even if it kills you. People with your view want the 10 commandments removed from court house lawns, never mind that the commandments themselves are pretty damn good principles to uphold whether they come from Moses on the Mount or Bubba Beer Drinker.

You're the single non-believer (or practioner of alternate religion) in the room full of believers and because it doesn't conform to your views or beliefs you want it modified or removed. What is the difference between that and the BELIEVER in the room full of non-believers that wants it ADDED to the program?

I personally think they are more important things for people to be doing rather that trying to bend others to their will.
