Just wondering what pressure you all run in your BFG AT KO Tires for every day around town driving and interstate use.. The size is LT225/75/R16. The sidewall lists 65psi as max, but I'd imagine that is a little too high. The vehicle in question is a 1997 Grand Cherokee Ltd.

Well I think there was a recent post about tire pressure, but I lost the retention on my client - check the inside of your driver's side door frame - should be a factory sticker listing tire pressure I believe...

I have 31x10.50x15 's (which is close to 245/75/R16) on my 2002 Wrangler, and run about 32 psi. The Grand Cherokee is longer and probably weighs more, so it should be able to hold more pressure in the tires. Most vehicles run around 32, unless you are hauling a heavy load, then you increase tire pressure.

The 65 psi molded onto the sidewall is only the tire's maximum allowable tire pressure which is only for use when the tire is carrying its maximum allowable weight. For your Wrangler, I'd run 30 or so PSI on that size tire. The bigger the tire, the less pressure it requires, generally speaking. :)

The number on the tire is the max pressure the tire can hold at the max weight it can carry. The max weight of the tire exceeds the max weight of the vehicle by a wide margin, so the max pressure will never be used.
You will find that your best performance and comfort will be at about 25 to
30 psi. Set the pressure to 28 and adjust from there.
