Cat-back systems, headers and catcons

If the catalytic converter was the greatest restriction in any exhaust system what would be the point of headers or a cat-back system (since the exhaust flow would be limited by its greatest restriction)?

I think he should just run 3 inch straight pipes and run on two cylinders with a single fire ignition. HarryS

No point at all unless you get the catalytic converter that can handle the flow. These are availlable
