On the dual top TJ when you have the soft top on and want to go to the hard top do you have to remove any hardware?
I have a Besttop on my CJ and I have to do that now. - Just wondering

yeah -- the two plastic door peices, then the entire soft-top itself..
But to install the hard top you have to remove the soft top door frames as well.
Ah, yes, the boomerangs! They must be removed. Four knobs on top, two per side.
I've gotta hand it to Jeep and Bestop. They've improved the softtops
1000 fold s> But to install the hard top you have to remove the soft top door frames as > well.Yea, it is true ... but then depending as well - you have to find a place to store your Soft Top when Not on the vehicle, and when your a person like me - who has no garage - storing the softtop on 4 blocks in the backyard under a tarp is not a the most acceptable answer. I was wondering if n e one had n e major problems storing it folded down while the hardtop was on, besides obvious loss of space.

00` Jeep TJ - 4.0L I6I bought my TJ 04-04-98 & finally got around to taking the soft top out about 6 months ago. I haven't unpacked it yet - but there are no wear marks anywhere. As far as I know - no problem at all.............
