extended droop / park brake issue

Feb 08, 2004 2 Replies

I can think of two ways to resolve the issue of stock length parking brake cables being used in a Dana 300 equipped CJ-7 with extreme rear axle droop. One has to do with obtaining longer rear parking brake cables. The other would be to install a transfer case parking brake

-not too different than the drum set up found on Spicer 18s & Dana 20s but preferably a disc brake which would not require a noticeably shorter drive shaft.

If you have experience with this issue or recommendations, I'd like to know of it.

Thank you.

By accident, I found the following web page...

It relates to the T-Case parking brake option. I've asked JB Conversions to provide more information.

LOL!

Well, I like to just move brackets....

The main cable has tons of adjustment on it to handle a couple inches of bracket repositioning.
