Bill will love you forever if you buy it... ;-)
Oh, the link would help. Duh.
I really think that if someone bought it for reserve price that they could part it out and make some $ on the deal. Not a lot, but there are some good parts on there. Hell, the whole thing as a whole is in pretty damn good shape. If I was looking for a Jeep right now, I'd buy it. :-) Hmm... perfect timing. The "." key on my keyboard is dying fast, have to smash it pretty hard to get it to work right now. Just found out today I'm getting a schmancy R-series thinkpad for work with a gig of ram and dvd player/cd burner, etc, etc.
"I'm the luckiest boy in the world!!!!!!!"
That's natural rust prevention coating. ;-)
HAHAHAHA! Been there, done that!!!!!

So, I've hit the reserve--I'm in Richmond, VA, and have son #1 primed for a road trip!

Someone just hit the reserve... Bill, have you opened the champagne yet? :-) (Remember I told you if you bought it that I'd leave the group like you practically begged me to? I'll settle for anyone buying it from me. But actually I'm having second thoughts about leaving the group. Y'all are entertaining. :-)
Was that you who emailed me earlier asking for more pictures and I said I'd recommend you bring a trailer with you even though I drove it
3 hours home myself when I bought it? Cool. I think you'll love it. If you remain the higher bidder I'd appreciate it if you'd keep me up to date on how it does for you and share your adventures too.Nope--not me--but might bring trailer or box truck--

OK, cool. I drove it about 3 hours home when I bought it about a year ago and didn't have any trouble with it and suspect your won't either, but it does come with 5 extra tires that would be easier to carry with a trailer. It's 30 years old and starts right up and runs great but I was nervous driving it home when I bought it. Bring the trailer for peace of mind, or don't and make an adventure out of the whole thing. :-) Thanks for looking/bidding. I'm sure the highest bidder will not be disappointed in the end. This one's a deal.
Sorry, I meant *almost* 30 years old. '76. Clean title, new inspection, no hassle.
and starts right up and runs great but I
Sounds good--just looking for a spare fun Jeep--if it passed NC inspection it should pass VA without much hassle--
I'm too old for that much adventure! ;-)
(unless maybe I had the snake & snakebite kit!)

Unless I'm nuts, I seem to recall when you originally bought this and posted about it on the NG. So, just out of curiosity, why are you selling it now?
For about the same reasons I sold my VW baja before I bought the Jeep. I work on vehicles as a hobby and I've gotten bored with this one and want to move on to something different. I'm going to try a dirt bike this time. I think after that I'll look into a VW-powered rail car. I just enjoy messing with different vehicles instead of staying with the same one for long. Keeps it interesting for me.
SOLD!!!!!!!!! Thanks one last time for y'all's help with it while I owned it. You guys are a good bunch of people. Even Bill, no matter what everyone says behind his back. ;-)
