LOL! How could you not!
Tsk. A post w/o content.
So, got any advice on flares? ;^)
I put YJ flares on mine in the back. This gave me more clearance when my wheels stuff up in the wheel well. They bolt on perfectly. Once on, you can trim under the rear end of the flare giving you room for a tire to go further up. Works fine lasts a long time. Got a pair at Scotty's in Fontana, Ca. I think they cost me about $15.00 used. Work better than those Bushwhackey flares for close to $400 clams.
1/4" stainless steel diamondplate? Flat fenders, of course...
Never heard of Scotty's. From sheetmetal to end of flare, how many inches?
I'm trying to find that ideal width of function versus looks. The bushwackers are 7" - thats 2" more than I need, and would probably look dorky. The warns are 4', one inch short of the sidewall, but not the BFG mud lugs. Then there is Xenon and all the rest. I'm running 33" BFG MTs

Hah! Nice.
Of course.
Texan? Wherabouts?
Hey, if you're gonna do it, you might as well do it right... None of those wimpy-ass plastic bumpers...
One needs a flat spot to place one's beer can when one needs to take a shot at something...
Houston area... Look up my aircraft registration (N581) in the FAA database and you'll get an actual name and address...
Nah, that's o.k. I'm south of ya's on 59, 'tween Corpus & S.A. Was at the Bluebonnet Airshow couple weeks back, tho.
Down near Beeville? If so, I'm about 157 miles up US-59 from you...
I few years ago I bought a set from JC Whitney. They are styled after the YJ flares but are aboutn 1-2" wider and are fiberglass. They look nice but needed filling and paint after I bought them.
I don't think you'd wanna go bigger than the 4" flare...my buddy put the 7" flare on his TJ and it looks really silly...something like the bat mobile... Good Luck! As for the fly boys, I have a friend who has a plane and flies out of El Paso...
Jeff
Thanks! From sheetmetal to edge of flare, how many inches?
Yeah, 4" looks like it. The 7" would be better suited to something with
44s. Thanks!I live out in the country. During Desert Storm the flyboys were practicing dogfighting out here. High rumble for hours and days, got the binocs out and watched. Was cool. I still get F-16s flying on the deck every now and then, and lots of coast guard pilots out of Corpus practicing some dead reconing. The jet trainers are gone since Chase field closed, they were fun, they'd haul ass low and wave! Had a twin engine job fly north the other evening at 200-300 feet, no lights. Contraband was my guess, flew right over the house, straight line to the horizon. "Watch those power lines!"
I will measure but something tells me that they were and inch wider than stock YJ flares.
