Getting new tires - want my old ones?

My current tires are PRocomp Xterrains (31x10.5xR15LT) and my ears don't like them anymore. Too noisy for me and the wife (keep her happy...I keep my jeep!).

There is some meat left on the tires (have about 50k on them right now) and the spare has never been used. I'm not looking for much, but I'd hate to give them to the tire guys to toss or keep for themselves (they won't give me a break on them).

I'm located north of toronto (newmarket area). Let me know if you want a set for playing in the snow! (just a guess, but I'd say there's probably a season left on the 4 and the spare is new).

No rims for these tires!!

Cheers email me back at krazy##kanuck##@##me##.##com (remove the appropriate poundage!)

Hey Steve, you might want to put these up on some of the other forums. It's a great idea!

I just took my Dick Cepeks off and replaced them with Cooper STTs. Man I loved my Cepeks, I don't know what I was thinking. Well, yea I do, but I still loved my Cepeks.

I put my old tires up on our club forum and one of our members is going to buy them

Hey Kate:

Your newsreader is set so that there is no distinction between quoted text and your post.

It makes it harder to quickly scroll to your post.

In Outlook Express it can be corrected by going to Tools > Options > Send > News Sending Format > Plain Text Settings, and checking the box beside "Indent the original text with"

No offense meant, but it _really_ makes it much easier to read through posts if indents are used.

Thanks,

Fred

Thanks Fred, I prefer it this way. I set it like this on purpose. I don't like having to read past the miles and miles of >>>>> you

Hmm, I notice that yours doesn't have any of the little doodads either ;-)

I'll try to be more contientious about making it so the reply is clearly defined from the OP. (That's why I prefer top posts. It makes them easy to find without dragging through the muck and mire to get to the reply.)

Hello Kate! I don't have any problem reading your posts! ;)

When I reply, I just delete everything first, then reply on a clean slate!

Cheers

Well, there are other ways of compressing posts, snipping etc. And it wouldn't change what nearly everyone else does- uses the levels to figure out who wrote what. Since your non-indents are in the (vast) minority, it only causes potential confusion when you post, and only reduces by one the stacked indents that you find a problem.

The reason why you didn't see any indents in my post when you replied is because your newsreader is set to not insert them. Which is what I was alerting you to in the first place. :)

Note below, my newsreader has correctly indented both my previous post (quoted by you) and your post at the same level. So a reader will not be able to rely on the indents to determine who wrote what if something gets snipped.

Anyway, just be aware that some will find (as I do) your lack of indents awkward, and I imagine that the benefit you gain is minimal. It's a netiquette thing in other words (and yes, I am aware that this is a "top posting group").

Otherwise, peace.

Ya know, I'm not so sure that's it. I think that there is something 'new' going on over the last couple of years (at most) where when I reply to a post, sometimes it will indent with the > thingies and sometimes it leaves them out [and this happens both with OE and Mozilla). It seems to correlate to the origin of the post being replied to and something about that post, dunno what. Often one sees this as one post will have this problem with replies made to it.

Kate, I don't think that this is you, I think this is some covert right-wing conspiracy designed to end Usenet. :) Tomes
