Holley 400CFM TBI and V6 2.8L

Hello, Holley offers a direct replacement TBI for the EFI V6 2.8L of cherokee 85½ to 89.

I have a 85 cherokee with the 2 barrel carburetor. Does somebody know if the Holley TBI 502-3 is a direct replacement for my Rochester 2SE carburetor.

I know this is a very technical question, but maybe you know?

Thanks a lot!

No. It's a replacement for a factory TBI unit. Your 2 barrel carb is a two stage design. Small primary (front) and larger secondary (back). That TBI is a single stage design (barrels are side by side and operate simultaneously), so an intake manifold change would be required, if it's even possible.

Then there's the electronics you'd need...

Thank a lots for your information.

Then what do you think of this adapter plate offered by holley:

For the electronics, this is not a problem.

Well, if that adapter works, it would solve the problem of mounting the TBI unit on the manifold, but still leaves a sh*tload of other issues to deal with. IMO, more trouble and expense than it's worth, unless you want to do it just for fun...
